You have the right to receive care with dignity, courtesy, empathy, and respect—without any discrimination based on age, gender, religion, nationality, economic status, or health condition.

2. Right to Safe and Quality Care

You are entitled to treatment in a clean, secure, and infection-controlled environment that meets national healthcare standards (NABH, BIS, FSSAI).

In an emergency, you will receive immediate and necessary medical care without delay or advance payment, as mandated by Indian law.

4. Right to Information

You have the right to be fully informed about your diagnosis, treatment options, potential risks, progress, and expected outcomes. You may also request copies of your medical records and reports, as per hospital policy.

5. Right to Consent and Participation

Before any procedure, surgery, or participation in research, your informed consent will be obtained. You have the right to accept or refuse treatment after understanding the implications and may seek a second opinion at any time.

6. Right to Privacy and Confidentiality

Your personal and medical information will remain confidential and shared only with authorised personnel. You will be examined in privacy wherever possible.

7. Right to Involvement in Care Decisions

You are encouraged to participate in all decisions regarding your treatment and care plan, and to have your cultural, spiritual, and personal values respected.

8. Right to Transparency in Costs

You are entitled to clear information about your treatment costs, insurance coverage, and any changes in financial estimates during the course of care.

9. Right to Continuity and Referral of Care

You have the right to continuous and coordinated care, including proper referral, handover, and discharge summaries.

10. Right to Complaint and Redressal

You may raise concerns, complaints, or grievances without fear of discrimination, and expect a fair and timely resolution through the hospital’s redressal process.

11. Right to Choose

Where applicable, you may choose the source of medicines or diagnostic services, provided they meet prescribed standards.

12. Additional Right - No Discrimination

You will not be denied care or treated unfairly based on disease, gender, ethnicity, age, HIV status, sexual orientation, disability, or background.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A PATIENT

1. Provide Complete and Accurate Information

Share full details of your medical history, allergies, lifestyle habits, and medications to ensure accurate diagnosis and safe treatment.

2. Cooperate with Your Care Plan

Follow your doctor’s advice, treatment plan, medication schedule, and post-discharge instructions carefully. Seek clarification whenever you do not understand any aspect of your care.

3. Respect Hospital Protocols

Comply with hospital rules, safety guidelines, visiting hours, and maintain hygiene and decorum within hospital premises.

4. Respect Others

Treat all doctors, nurses, staff, and fellow patients with courtesy and consideration. Refrain from disruptive behaviour, verbal abuse, or violence.

5. Protect Confidentiality

Respect the privacy of other patients and cooperate in maintaining the confidentiality of all medical information.

6. Meet Financial Obligations

Ensure timely settlement of bills and provide accurate details for insurance and administrative purposes. Inform the hospital if you wish to be discharged or transferred.

7. Be Punctual and Responsible

Attend appointments on time and inform the hospital in advance if you are unable to attend or need to reschedule.

8. Inform of Any Changes

Notify your doctor immediately if your condition changes, new symptoms appear, or if you face difficulties following the prescribed treatment.

9. Take Care of Personal Belongings

Be responsible for your valuables and belongings during your hospital stay.

10. Contribute to a Safe Environment

Alert staff immediately if you observe unsafe conditions or potential hazards within the hospital premises.

By understanding and honouring these rights and responsibilities, together we create a compassionate, safe, and healing environment for all.
