Patient Testimonials
Recently I had a knee injury, for treatment I went to SLG Hospitals. I was hardly walking receptionists and staff members immediately responded and accompanied me to ortho Dr. B.Chakradhar Reddy. He treated me really well and explained me the problem in a very simple neat way. Radiology technicians were also very helpful and supportive. I’m well satisfied with hospitality and over all service.

FAQs
Paediatrics is the medical specialty that deals with the treatment of infants, children and also adolescents while Neonatology is a subspecialty of Paediatrics that deals with newborn infants, particularly those who are ill or premature.
Responsibilities of a paediatrician include examining newborns for overall health and complications, prescribing medications necessary to treat illnesses, responding to queries from concerned parents, guiding new parents about child care, and also administering immunizations as per the schedule.
A neonatologist is a specialist who performs diagnosis and treats newborns with conditions such as breathing disorders, infections, and birth defects. Neonatologists also look after the care and management of newborns who are born premature, critically ill, or require to undergo surgery. Some of the other responsibilities of a neonatologist are to: ensure that critically ill newborns receive the proper nutrition for healing and growth, provide care to the newborn at a cesarean or other delivery that indicate medical problems, and ensure treatment to stabilize the condition of newborns with life-threatening complications.
Consulting a paediatrician is mandatory if you suspect/detect certain conditions in your child, such as: Infection diseases | Metabolic disorders | Problems with muscles or bones – for example, developmental dysplasia of the hip or bow legs | Asthma and allergies | Kidney disorders | Brain-related problems like epilepsy | Sleep problems | Autism | Poor growthor delay in mental development | Behavioral issues like hyperactivity or attention deficit | Down syndrome | Cerebral palsy | Childhood obesity
If your newborn is premature, or has a serious illness, injury, or birth defect, a neonatologist may assist at the time of delivery and in the subsequent care. If a problem is identified before your baby is born, a neonatologist may become involved to consult with your obstetrician for your baby’s care during your pregnancy.
